San Francisco, Powell Street
Thom’s passion for San Francisco is well known to many collectors. He has released 18 paintings of San Francisco. San Francisco Powell Street is added to the collection as his 19th release commemorating the City by the Bay.
San Francisco Powell Street is the first release of 2009 - Thom’s 25th year as a published artist.
Thom has hidden 25 N’s in San Francisco Powell Street as a tribute to his wife Nanette.
The 25 N's also to celebrate his 25th Anniversary of publishing.
San Francisco Powell Street is very simular to his painting San Francisco, A View Down California Street from Nob Hill which was released in 1992, but is from a different location and direction.
In the painting, you can see see the Bay Bridge, a cable car making its way along the street, and a myriad of activities of a busy city. Life goes on at the street level -- vendors, neighbors, and shoppers as well near the famous Sir Francis Drake Hotel
